우리 충남대학교 법률센터는 1964년 시민법률상담소로 개설되어 반세기 넘게 대전·충남·세종지역의 지역민들을 위한 무료법률상담 및 법률구조활동을 해 온 빛나는 역사와 전통을 가지고 있습니다.
이후 법률상담소로 개칭하여 매년 대전의 영세지역과 충청남도 농어촌지역을 순회하며 무료법률상담활동을 실시하고 있으며 유관기관과의 긴밀한 협조를 통하여 법률상담활성화를 위해 꾸준히 노력하였습니다. 아울러 2009년 3월 충남대학교 법학전문대학원이 출범되면서 기존의 지역민을 위한 무료법률상담 및 법률구조 외에도 전문법조인력을 양성하기 위한 임상법학실습의 교육기관으로서의 역할도 다하고 있습니다.
나아가 2018년 3월 법률상담 뿐만 아니라 법교육, 법무지원 등의 사업을 추진하고자 충남대학교 법률센터로 새롭게 태어났습니다.
그동안 법률문제에 대한 고충이 있음에도 경제적인 여건으로 인하여 해결하지 못하는 부분에 대하여 언제든지 법률센터를 찾아주시면 관련 분야의 전문가인 교수, 변호사들을 통해 합리적인 해결책을 제시하여 드리겠습니다.
또한 법교육 및 다양한 법률문화콘텐츠 제공으로 지역사회의 법률문화창달에 노력하겠습니다.

First established in 1964 as the Legal Center for Citizens, we have stood with our Daejeon·Chungnam·Sejong community members for over 50 years, fighting for fairness and justice through pro-bono legal counsel and services.
Later renamed as the Legal Consultation Center, we have further expanded our services to Daejeon’s under-privileged members and ChungCheong Province’s rural areas to provide the highest-quality free representation that meets their needs by collaborating with community organizations for meaningful social change.
As the Center was incorporated into the Chungnam National University Law School in March 2009, we have initiated not only legal but also educational programs to provide law students with innovative and compassionate clinical experience. In March 2018, we have finally evolved into what is now the Chungnam National University Law Center to foster broader and deeper connections with the larger local, legal, and educational community.
We empower our community members who are fraught with legal difficulties through professional solutions from lawyers and law professors who have cutting-edge work experience in a wide range of fields and disciplines. Moreover, we promise to provide appropriate legal education and information sharing to champion a just community atmosphere.
